What We Do
Emergency Notices: (Stimulus Checks for Prisoners)
- Responsible for generating and coordinating general political and material support for Political Prisoners and Prisoners of War, particularly members, supporters and allies of the Black/New Afrikan Liberation Movement. Political support would include petition-drives, public statements, prison monitoring, rallies, and letter-writing campaigns. Examples of material support would include correspondence, financial support, telephone calls, visitation and legal representation.

- The IRS has extended the date for the prisoners to file for the stimulus on their own to October 30. I heard from some prisoners that they are passing them out in the prisons but I haven't heard that at all prisons.
- Also, the IRS is now saying they did not agree to 3rd party e-filing on behalf of the prisoners. In any other case, it is acceptable to e-file with the person's permission, so I am not sure how they can legally claim this. At any rate, some people have already e-filed.
- If your e-file has been denied, please print the attached documents and send to your family members. It includes a template that shows what they need to fill out and where the $1 income should go. I am going to do a mass mailing Monday to folks on my list. If you have anyone to add email me their name.
